1000 dancers for ‘Ezham Arivu’

Harris Jayaraj and A.R. Murugadoss have made it clear of having the song in an unforeseen grand manner. With major talkie portions of ‘Ezham Arivu’ completed, one of the song sequence is yet to be shot as Harris Jayaraj is still working on the tunes.

Since, it’s going to be a big song; Harris has reportedly taken scrutinizing efforts to compose them. He is gonna start recording the song now as he says, “ Started recording a mega dance track for the film "Ezham Arivu" for which 1000 dancers have practiced to shake their legs.

‘Ezham Arivu’ is scheduled to have its audio launch by end of March and if everything goes well with arrangements, then Udhayanidhi Stalin may make it a point of getting the song performed live for the occasion.

In the recent past, Suriya has not worked with any debutant director and all his movies were helmed by established filmmakers. But the actor has now declared that he is open for aspiring directors too.

“If any new director impresses me with a story to which I couldn’t say no, I am ready to work with them,” the actor, who is currently busy with A R Murugadoss-director ‘7am Arivu’ said.

He adds: “A couple of my films with debutant filmmakers failed in the past. So I opted to work with familiar directors, whose skills are already proven. There is no other reason behind this.”

Suriya, after a cameo in ‘Manmadhan Ambu’, is appearing in a small yet crucial role in Bala’s ‘Avan Ivan’. “Working with Bala is always great. It was his films (‘Nanda’ and ‘Pithamagan’) that established me as a good actor.”

Suriya takes heart-care to students

CHENNAI: Extending his support for the Apollo Hospitals’ Billion Hearts Beating campaign on heart awareness at the Loyola College here, actor Suriya urged the students to follow a healthy and responsible lifestyle.

He reminded them that heart attacks were becoming common among those aged below 30 years.

“Steer yourself clear of any sort of addiction, and live a responsible life for your physical wellness,” he said, amid thunderous applause. Suriya recounted his days in Loyola College, where he did B Com course. “I have then visited the nearby wine shops, but desisted from taking alcohol,” he recalled. He also urged the 7,000-odd students of the college to extend their support to the campaign by taking a pledge on health awareness on the website, www.billionheartsbeating.com.

Sindoori Reddy, Vice-President, Operations, Apollo Hospitals, said that heart problems among the youth in the country was a matter of concern. Research in the area had suggested that Indians were genetically more prone to heart diseases, Reddy added.

Also present at the event was Loyola College principal Rev Dr B Jeyaraj SJ.
